Stable Internet Connection
You must have a reliable and high-speed internet for better data transmission.
For Standard Definition – 2-3 Mbps broadband connection speed recommended
High Definition 720p – not less than 5 Mbps
For 1080p High Definition – more than 9 Mbps speed
For Ultra High Definition 4K quality – at least 16 Mbps recommended
if your device connection speed is slower than said recommendations, you would not be able to set up Netflix on your device.
Valid Netflix subscription
You may or may not know that to add non-certified/Beta/Public channels like Netflix on Roku, you have to own a valid subscription. In an event, you haven’t paid or if your subscription is expired or canceled due to any reason, it would not display the Netflix Roku activation code on Roku TV.
Further, as per the Netflix guidelines, you are restricted to add more device to Netflix account depending upon the subscription plan. As per the Netflix, user is allowed to share screen as:
- Basic plan- one screen / one device
